Welcome back everyone! We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new students to the school.
- Many thanks to Hugh Boyle for sorting the weeds out over the Summer.
- The book bills will be sent out in the 3rd week of September. We would appreciate it if all money is in by the 2nd week of October, thank you.
- We have a new Learning Support teacher this year, Ms.Tracey Boyle.
- Tin whistles lessons will commence from Friday 11th for students from 1st-6th There will be 10 lessons in this term and another 10 in the last term. Each child will be charged €1 per lesson and the school will cover the remainder of the cost. This charge will be added to the book bills.
- We are delighted to let you know our school website will be up and running by the end of September. All families will be notified by text when it is available for viewing.
- There will be a talk on Internet Safety/Cyber bullying issues for all parents of primary school children in the Parish Centre on Thur. 17th at 8pm. The talk will be given by Gareth Gibson from Donegal Youth Service. It would be important that at least one parent from each family attend this meeting as it is a huge issue in today’s society.
- Parent/teacher meetings – 22nd School closing @ 12.30. Times will be sent out nearer the date. See calendar for all other closures.
- Reminder:Battery collection in school for the LauraLynn charity (Ireland’s Ch
ildren’s Hospice). This is an ongoing initiative and any old/used batteries may be sent into school at any time throughout the school year.
